OLYMPUS-BIOLOGIC YOGURT

The UNIQUE Greek biological yoghurt with the name bio Star was presented by Olympus, in the frame of its strategy that makes it a leader.
It concerns a 100% Greek biological yoghurt of a premium quality and high alimentary value with rich flavour and perfume. Raw material, that is to say the milk, is produced underthe shade of Olympus, where the cows live and are raised in the most natural way. Only certified biological forages are being used, while ensured is also the free behavior of animals.


GREEK FETA PROMOTION

MRS Advertising was charged with the promotion of greek feta withinh the Greek market after a spec from Cheesenet.
The entrusting concerns all "above and below the line" actions that will be programmed for the next three-year period. The total sum that will be been allocated for the promotion, amounts 1 million of Euros and it reveals the importance that the ministry of Rural Growth and Foods and the European Union give about this Greek product. In the frame of promotion there will be competitions and online games, infokiosks, via which the youth all over Greece will be informed, while there is under prepation a documentary on the history of feta, which will be distributed in DVD.


FRIESLAND HELLAS-A change of scene in the dairy market

A change inside the Greek dairy market as new elements come up after the launch of Friesland Hellas' production activities. More specifically, Friesland Hellas of (NOYNOY), bought from Foodinvest Hellas theIR factory located in the BIPE of Patras. Friesland is about to install in the factory new units of production of dairy products, while it develops the installations of this factory with the creation of a distribution center for its products for Western and Southerner Greece. The factory has an extent of 60 acres and is constituted by buildings and industrial installations (production, deposits, refrigerators) 14.000 sq.m. It was manufactured in 1986 and belong to Unilever, who produced the Algida ice-creams up to 1999.


MEVGAL-Planning new investments of 1.7 million Euros

MEVGAL on the way to become a group of companies, expanding its partnerships with companies under MEVGAL, thus increasing its activities, its size and expanding with continuous new investments.
In 17 mill. of Euros amounts the new three-year investment program of MEVGAL, that is focused in the growth of new category of milk of high pasteurization (ESL), hard cheeses as well as in the further upgrade of all computer systems (CRM). In 2002 MEVGAL materialised investments of 9 mill. of Euros, that concerned in pioneering mechanical equipment, in networks develo Mary Hatzakos.
